![]() The Langas are patronised by Muslim Sindhi Sipahis, whereas Manganiars mainly sing for Hindu patrons. Both communities comprise of traditional musicians who make their living by singing for higher caste patrons. They are the Muslim communities who have lived for centuries in the Thar Desert region of western Rajasthan, primarily in Barmer and Jaisalmer districts, and in the villages along the border of Pakistan. ![]() ![]() The original exponent of Sufi music are the Langa and Manganiar communities. ![]()
